My Golf looks so much better with them. Totally worth the money and effort to put them on.

Interesting, did you find OEM LED headlights or are these aftermarket that look OEM? Was it a lot of work to install? I'm considering buying a GTI next year, but the model I'd be buying wouldn't have the LEDs and they do look amazing !
Furthermore, how do you like your Golf/GTI (not positive which)? Any issue thus far? How long you had er?

Its going to be a long comment, but bare with me.
The car is a 2015 Golf TSI 1.4 with a 6 speed manual. Its a Mexican market car (I am in Mexico) and this was the only version sold with a stick. The car came with normal halogens which always bothered me since they de-grade the looks of an otherwise classy car.
I was looking at options to change the headlamps and started reading the forums on what most people had bought. Here are some links that I found helpful:

I discovered that Winpower headlamps were the best bet, although there wasn't a truly complete guide to install them. The only video of the full installation was in Portuguese. Either way, I decided to buy them and got the V2 Golf Headlamps. The V2's have a halogen turning signal, as they are the replicas of the base Golfs' LED's. There is also the replica for the GTI's and for the R's, but I wanted my car to look as stock as possible.
The headlights arrived, and I got to work with the guides I had found on youtube. As I had never done such a big change to my car before, I was nervous, but got them installed no problem at all. I had no warning lights on the dashboard, no further issues, no faulty LED's but a damn good looking car in the end.
As for the Golf it is one truly amazing car. Solidity, reliability (I've had it for 6 months), driver involvement are all high up there. I would only imagine a GTI would be EPIC. The reason I didn't get a GTI was that they won't sell them here with a stick in the MK7, which made me extremely sad. Either way, excellent machine that I HIGHLY recommend.

They really aren't bad. We have had rain for the last 3 days and not a drop of water or condensation has been able to creep in there.

In my experience they were excellent. Hope you do get a GTI.
